Common Name: Pitcher Plant
Nickname: Belle (as in Victreebell)
Basic Care Info: Distilled or rainwater only, a few hours of direct sunlight a day with indirect the rest of the day, no soil, sphagnum moss & perlite mix, high humidity, lives outside above 50° F. Theoretically supposed to not fertilize but I'm going to experiment with fertilizer at half strength in the pitchers.

Blurb: The first plant I ever got because I got fed up with fruit flies in my house! She puts out most of her pitchers in the spring & summer, and drinks up a ton of rainwater. She's grown a lot, and based on my research these nepenthes can get quite big, but I'd like her to stay around this size. If she gets much bigger I can propagate and give away the new plants! When I first got it, my niece went to touch it, stopped, then asked nervously, "Will it hurt me?" 😂
More Info: Nepenthes × ventrata (/nɪˈpɛnθiːz vɛnˈtrɑːtə/) is a natural hybrid involving N. graciliflora [1] and N. ventricosa. Like its two parent species, it is endemic to the Philippines. The name was originally published in the Carnivorous Plant Newsletter in 1979.[2] Nepenthes × ventrata is one of the most common tissue cultured Nepenthes plants, although it is often mislabelled as Nepenthes alata.[3] It is relatively easy to grow indoors and is usually the first tropical pitcher plant seen by consumers due to its availability in many garden shops and home centres.
